The Lord & Lady identity is inspired by international stamps, travel signs, fruit stickers and nostalgic graphics that give a nod to “origin”. We utilized graphics that don’t come from one particular place, but when combined, feel like they come from everywhere. Lord & Lady experiment with regional blends so we came up with a layering sticker system for different combinations. Each bag is completely unique, and are assembled by the coffee roasters themselves during production. As a small four-person operation, a layering sticker approach not only creates a brand that stands out from the small-batch coffee market, but enables them to extend the brand economically across a range of applications from business cards to merch.

A variable logo system is used to repeat and layer the brand on top of itself. Through typeface choice, colours and the consistency of inconsistencies, you find the intentional visual language of Lord & Lady.
